The SERION ELISA classic Toxoplasma gondii IgG and IgM tests are quantitative and qualitative immunoassays for the detection of human antibodies in serum or plasma directed against Toxoplasma gondii
The SERION ELISA classic Toxoplasma gondii IgG test allows for the determination of immune status as well as for the detection of intrathecally synthesized antibodies for CSF diagnostics and, by using the corresponding avidity reagent, of IgG antibody avidity determination in order to differentiate acute from past infections.
SERION ELISA controls are positive control sera for the qualitative and quantitative antibody determination when using immunoassays of the SERION ELISA classic and SERION ELISA antigen product line.
The ready-to-use components are, in addition to the controls supplied with the SERION ELISA test kits, supplementary external reagents to determine validity of SERION ELISA test runs, precision and reliability of the method. In comprehensive validation studies, target values and validity ranges for each test-specific SERION ELISA control are determined and documented on lot-specific certificates of analysis.
SERION immunoCONTROL are lyophilized control sera, which are obtained from human origin. After reconstitution, SERION immunoCONTROL should be treated analogous to serum samples and will yield a qualitative positive result.
Converted human plasma (re-calcified plasma = serum), antibody positive for Toxoplasma gondii IgG or IgM. Antibody reactivity is detected by using SERION Diagnostics’ ELISA classic assay ESR110G/M. Please contact us if you are explicitly interested in non-converted plasma material.
